Union Castle Cargo Liner Model Boat Plan

Union Castle Cargo Liner. This model is based on a pair of fast cargo liners built for the Union-Castle Line in the mid-1960’s. It is to an approximate scale of 1:156 which gives it a length of 116cm (45.5 inches) and a weight of 5.3 kg (11.5 pounds). Construction is from Balsawood, Lite Ply and conventional Plywood. The plan has been drawn by Glynn Guest and a comprehensive supporting construction article was published in the late-October 2016 Winter Special issue of Model Boats for this r/c model.
